Not about our ability to cope as parents, but about the problems we would be inflicting on any children we had. We knew how cruel other children can be. Childhood is hard enough without having the added “infliction” of being brought up by gay parents. Could we really bring a child into our family, knowing we were potentially subjecting them to a lifetime of bullying and embarrassment?
