Imagine how many risks there are in all the cheap electronics coming out of China these days. As a retired electrical engineer where part of my job was to ensure the products were safe, I can tell you, in most cases, you get what you pay for. There will never be enough government inspectors to assure that all the products coming into this country (regardless if it’s from China or somewhere else) even have been certified to safety regulations let alone investigate whether the notices on equipment that say they are qualified to certain regulations aren’t just stuck on the equipment without ever having really met any of the requirements. Beware of new brands at low prices.
