What's interesting is that you assert that heavy users are "truly valuable" or "super-valuable" without ever giving a reason why. Presumably you think they'll be easier to monetize, but with micropayments, everybody would have to pay, even the casual readers. In an unbundled and highly fragmented world, which is what we see online, you better be able to monetize casual users, because they are an increasingly large part of of all consumption online.
