I think this system was deliberately set up this way—to harness individuals fears around survival/starvation so that they could be tied to another individual’s ends. yes, we’ve developed amazing things and some of us have been fortunate enough to pursue knowledge for its own sake, but far too many of us are simply tools for another’s use which grants us the benefit of survival. when our usefulness wears out, either as makers or as consumers, we’re put in the dustbin.
