It is not possible to direct the beam back at the center of the tube’s end mirror because the beam is deflected to one edge of the circle (or another). Even very careful slow aiming of the free hand mirror will result in the beam being repelled (apparently) off center. Is this a magnetic or electric field effect? Is this somehow a reverse entanglement problem? Is it a mass effect? |
